For chiming and circular friction below the rim, we recommend using a suede mallet, as it offers a softer contact and a different tonal quality.

We recommend having at least one silicone mallet and one suede mallet so you can play two-handed and explore a wider range of sounds, textures, and techniques. Ideally to play a set would be 2 silicone mallets and 1 suede mallet.
